Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 July 2026

These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and AIBotLab. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

1. The Service

AIBotLab ("AIBotLab", "we", "our" or "us") operates aibotlab.ai (the "Service"): a platform that lets you build AI chatbots trained on your own content — documents, FAQs and web pages — and embed them on your website through a JavaScript widget. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (the "Terms").

The Service is a software platform. You supply your own OpenAI API key, and the Service uses that key to generate chatbot responses on your behalf. AIBotLab does not resell OpenAI usage or any other AI provider's usage: your subscription pays for the platform — chatbot management, knowledge-base processing and storage, widget hosting, conversation history and team seats — not for AI consumption.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

To use the Service you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. Each organization has one Owner — the person who registers it — who is responsible for the organization's account and may invite additional team members. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms and, where applicable, at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service lawfully. In particular, you must not:

  • upload, store or process content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful, infringing or harmful;
  • use the Service to generate or distribute spam, malware, harassment, or otherwise abusive or deceptive content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to access the source code of the Service, or circumvent its usage limits or security controls;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties, except through your own embedded chatbots as intended;
  • interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and for what your embedded chatbot outputs to your visitors.

4. Your OpenAI API Key & Third-Party Services

You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining your own OpenAI account and API key, and for any charges OpenAI applies to usage generated through the Service. AIBotLab stores your API key encrypted at rest, does not display it back to you or expose it to your frontend or widget, and uses it only to call OpenAI on your behalf to operate your chatbots. AIBotLab does not use your API key, your content, or your visitors' conversations to train AIBotLab or third-party AI models.

You are responsible for complying with the terms, policies and usage rules of OpenAI or any other AI provider whose API key you connect to the Service. AI providers may process API requests according to their own terms and policies.

The Service relies on third-party providers — including OpenAI (AI), our cloud hosting and storage provider, and Paddle (payments) — each governed by its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

5. Subscriptions, Fees & Billing (Paddle as Merchant of Record)

The Service is offered on subscription plans (Solo and Team), billed monthly or annually. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

Our checkout, payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, receipts, subscription billing and certain refund handling are provided by Paddle.com, acting as merchant of record and reseller for purchases made through the Service. Paddle handles checkout, processes payment, collects and remits applicable taxes and VAT, and issues invoices and receipts. When you purchase a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy. Refunds, where approved, are processed through Paddle and not directly by AIBotLab. Prices may change with prior notice; any change takes effect at your next renewal.

For cancellations and refunds, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Free Trial

New organizations may start with a 7-day free trial, which applies Solo-tier limits. No payment is taken during the trial. When the trial ends, you may choose a paid plan to continue; if you do not, your public chatbots may be deactivated in accordance with the trial's plan rules. The trial is an introductory period, not a separate paid tier. The trial does not automatically convert into a paid subscription unless you actively choose a paid plan and complete checkout.

7. Warranties & Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.

AI-generated responses can be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing your chatbot's answers and for how they are used; AIBotLab does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability or suitability of any AI output. You should not rely on chatbot outputs as legal, medical, financial or other professional advice unless independently reviewed by a qualified professional.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AIBotLab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is deleted in accordance with the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, backup, tax, billing or dispute-resolution purposes, as described in that policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as fees owed, disclaimers and limitation of liability — will survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Ukraine will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you in your place of residence.

11. Changes to These Terms & Contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Questions? Reach us through our Contact page.
